Music, Meditation & Medicine for the Heart Workshop with Dr Sabah Khan and Melanie Murphy.
This workshop offers a natural serotonin + dopamine boost and an opportunity to try something new and fun. We will begin the evening with an opening meditation and a cup of cacao, to relieve any stress and anxiety, followed by a rich mix of playful activities to warm your hearts and connect your souls and then an opportunity to consciously dance to uplift and unite. We will wind down the evening with a closing circle.
What is Conscious Dance?
It is a dance experience where you have the freedom to be yourself in a supportive and inclusive group, free from: talking, phones, alcohol & substances, shoes and judgement.
It is done ceremonially with an opening and closing circle, and there is some gentle guidance into the body to help you drop into the dance journey. Some people describe it as a movement meditation, you naturally can get into altered states of consciousness. It is a way to calm all the noise in our minds and the busyness of our lives and to connect more authentically with our bodies. There is also a joy in the letting go - of the week, the stresses, the thoughts and judgement.
What is Cacao?
Cacao is a powerful superfood that offers a boost of energy, enhancing focus and concentration, while enabling you to hear your heart, making self-expression, creativity and connection easier and more enjoyable.

✨ Melanie Murphy
With over two decades dedicated to the study and practice of holistic wellbeing, Melanie passionately believes in the power of slowing down and attuning to our bodies. As a holistic shamanic practitioner, she brings an additional layer of depth to her work. She combines ancient wisdom and modern techniques, including breathwork, embodied movement, tapping, coaching, kinesiology, and somatic trauma therapy. Whilst navigating challenges like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and a total disconnect from her body she realised how deeply her past had affected her and how important it was to release past traumas, balance her nervous system and deeply connect with her body and her intuition so that she could live a life that she loves and is passionate about. Beyond her professional pursuits, her deepest loves include her son, dancing, breathwork, working with fire, trauma healing, and a profound connection with nature.
